Where have wool undies been all my life?
I've been a cotton undies person forever. I could never tolerate synthetics. But cotton is really terrible for sweating in (or doing laundry without a dryer), and I need something that isn't cotton: wicks moisture and dries quickly; but is breathable and absorbent. I heard that wool fits the bill, and now I'm a believer.
So how are THESE panties? I am impressed with the quality of the cutting and sewing. No crooked pieces or janky seams. The fabric is incredibly thin, soft, and stretchy. It has a very luxe feel. I was worried (based on some of the pictures of the smaller models) that the cut might be skimpy, but it is not. The coverage is excellent, even for my lumpy, aging posterior. The medium weighs 36 grams (in case you're counting). This is more than the high-waisted bikini briefs, which I also tried (33 g). The elastics on the bikini brief are more substantial, though soft enough to look and feel smooth. Both styles are very comfortable.
I thought that wool undies would be useful for travel, for exercise, for paddling, for backpacking. But I've worn them every day for every activity since I got them, and I'm not sure I'm going back to cotton.
